It's hard to believe we are actually going to Cuba! We've talked about this ever since travel to Cuba became possible for Americans, and we considered lots of options. We finally decided on a circumnavigation cruise with Celestyal Cruises, a small Greek cruise line, that we hope will give us a true appreciation for this alluring island.

Fly to Montego Bay, Jamaica -- spend two relaxing days on the beach

Board the Celestyal Crystal cruise ship -- begin our onboard introduction to Cuban culture with lectures, entertainment, and lessons

Santiago de Cuba -- visit Cuba's most Caribbean city famous for its Afro-Cuban folklorico dancing

At Sea Day -- time to learn more about Cuban music and how to salsa

Havana -- two full days to enjoy the sights and sounds of Cuba's capital city

At Sea Day -- learn how to cook like a Cuban

Cienfuegos -- visit Cuba's "Pearl of the South" known for its French-style culture and classical architecture

Return to Montego Bay and fly home
